I am just a dedicated lifelong Rangers supporter with little knowledge of the signings contract system.

Can some of you enlighten me why a player signs an extension of his contract then a couple of weeks later is all over the media and with some on here saying he is looking for a move to the EPL asap. Morelos is the main one i'm referring to.

His latest insult to us is his statement that he wants a move to a bigger club with a better challenge.

Bluebilly, greed for money my friend. I've heard this before from some Rangers players in the past only to regret moving from Rangers. Morelos may do well or he may be a flop but at the end of the day its his choice. On the plus, he's going to make Rangers a lot of money.

He was getting interviewed by a Columbian media outlet - what do you want him to say? The boy is bigging himself up for a call up to the Copa America and is ambitious and saying he wants to play in a league of a higher standard. Who wouldn't?

Just as long as he knows that the only way that will happen is if he performs consistently well for us!

Rangers done the right thing by offering him a new contract even if they knew he is planning on leaving. This should’ve been done with more players in the past. If a player has more years left on their contract, then generally the club can ask a higher price for the player. Much better than letting a player get closer to the end of their contract and just run it out.

He would have been promised if he signed the deal he would get a move in the summer and the new deal would increase his value for selling on purposes.

Morelos has unfortunately become a bit of a liability with his poor disciplinary record. His case hasn't been helped by the great success of Defoe and the change of system. It is a great pity as his goal scoring record is fantastic. Not only that, but he leads the line brilliantly. Personally, I haven't been as confident of winning an OF match for years than I was for the last one. I think one of the main reasons was because I was confident of keeping 11 players on the park. Everytime Morelos plays, especially against the likes of McKenna or Peanut Heid, I am on edge waiting for the inevitable reaction. If he wamts to move on in the summer I'd say fine, thanks very much for the money and good luck.

Give the boy a break .

There is nothing wrong with ambition in a young person and whether we like it or not, playing in Scotland even for us is not what it used to be. It does not mean that he won’t give everything for us whilst he is here.

Be thankful that he cane to us and scored so many goals.

I think he will stay this summer, score a tonne of goals, mature a bit and then get his move in January or next summer making us a tidy profit of +£15m in the process.

If anyone on here was a perfect peter aged 18 - 22 you must have led a pretty dull and boring life - everyone makes mistakes no matter how much they earn.

Sell him and get as much money as we can. The man's a liability who cost us points this season. Nobody is indispensable.

Is Gerrard insulting us by wanting to one day manage Liverpool, our history is full of players who played and moved on for more money or so called ambition, it happens. it doesn't mean they won't do all they can for the jersey whilst wearing it.

unfortunately there is NO money in scotland now so would you stay if you can x 10 your salary if good enough. at one stage in the 90s we had just about the highest wage bill in the whole UK. those times have changed.
