Glad to hear Defoe has signed for us. Does this mean Morelos will be sold? I sincerely hope not.

I vaguely remember someone from the dark side asking, 'have yous no signed Defoe yet' a few months ago.
Suppose the answer to that must be yes now lol.

Andyboyblue, he could be a good acquisition but he is 36. Alves looked to be good business at the time but he was pretty poor in the end. The worst case scenario for us is that he turns out to be a success but for how long, a year, maybe two? That’s my honest opinion.

But in your honest opinion would you not be happy if you had signed such a prolific striker with the experience Defoe has?
Even at 36 he'll still be able to find the net and have huge impact on the younger players our great club.

Probably yes. He’s a big name, no question, and I was always a fan of his, particularly when he played alongside Darren Bent. If he signs for Celtic, we’re always going to be positive about his potential impact, if he signs for Rangers, we’ll look for the negatives. You guys will do exactly the same.

Good honesty coy big, 100% correct answer. I'd have been a bit wary if he signed for you, but wouldn't have told any of my celtic supporting mates.
