Not sure he's going to cut it but no harm in holding onto him for another season but tbh if we don't give him first team chances then we won't know and at the end of next season we will still be talking about him! He's about all the player he will ever be

if i’ve read this correctly we’ve extended Hardies contract by 1yr only to send him out on loan - why?

lads been out on loan 3/ 4 times already - either give him a chance in 1st team squad or move on

Hardie definitely deserves a chance. What is with all those anti-Hardie posters out there? He's never had a chance in the first team. Better than Cummings and others I bet!

Hardie will only be on 750-1000 per week because he is not a first team player

so even if we loan him out and next year and don't get him on a new contract i think we still get the 250k compensation because he came came through our youth ranks so we won't lose money if it does not work out

Hardie has signed a year extension and will be given opportunities to play. SG believes there is a player in him and I hope the young lad grabs it with both hands as he’s taking a gamble aswel, Livi wanted to offer him a much longer contract. Fans need to get right behind this lad as all he wants to do is play for this club.

The lad is still learning, some players take longer to progress .
He has a season extension then loan to give the lad more time.
Hopefully he will be more physical this season and rattles in the goals then we will see.

Trev I share your confusion. If reports are to be believed and he is to go out on loan again but to a premiership club (livi and dundee are the names mentioned) then why not offer him a 2 year deal and if he does well bring him into the first team and if we don't fancy him then get money for the lad. Personally I'd like to see him get a chance at some point though.
