Mcrorie out for another month at least, Ryan Jack likely to miss the rest of the season.

We are really lacking in the CDM position just now, Big Mcrorie was unreal in the last Old Firm game, first to everything almost, also had to work twice as hard because he had Kranjcar in front of him.

How does everybody think we should line up against Hearts and then Shellick?

I personally feel like now Cardoso should be offered a chance at the back against Hearts or St Johnstone, losing 3 goals vs Hamilton is not good. Just like strikers not scoring, defenders conceding goals should be benched until they up their game. We are going to need our defence firing on all cylinders if we are to get a result in the Old Firm game.

I wouldn't be concerned with the 3 goals lost at hamilton, there was 6 goals before half time, sometimes you get freak games. The penalty wasn't a penalty either. And we should line up against celtic the same way we did at parkhead, surely that's a no brainer? Except this time we have better players to take the game to them. The tactics were spot on. Against hearts we should line up the way we have been as it has been working really well. Why would we change?

Grudgingly, I agree with this. We have a squad designed to make players fight for the jersey. In my opinion Martin lost his for his last performance. Either bring in Cardoso or Alves (whoever has earned it through training)

Just a thought. Cardoso could probably play in that CDM role that Ross McCrorie nailed. If Alves is back I'd have him and Bates at the back with Cardoso just in front of them. He's good with the ball at his feet and it frees John and Tav a bit more as well which is good.

Coldo, we can't set up the same way as we don't have the personnel, we have no CDM's, like I was saying, Mcrorie was an absolute key player to that diamond formation Murty was playing, he has stopped using it since Mcrorie's injury.

Blueisthecolour, I thought that this morning, play Cardoso as the CDM or the 3rd CB, would allow the full backs to focus on Celtics wide threat, which is easily their best area. And like you say, also allows them cover to attack.

I just don't think Murty fancies Cardoso, he played well when he was brought on against the sheep at Pittodrie.

Only issue with playing Cardoso in the Mcrorie position is that Cardoso is not as physical as Mcrorie.

Cardoso is more of a ball playing centre half, decent pace like Mcrorie though.

Who drops out is problem? Holt Goss have been good windass Murphy and candieas behind Alfredo are vital! Can't see us changing it other that maybe alves in for martin

Caoldo, only having a discussion mate, it's all about opinions. Goss is a great wee football player but he's never a CDM in his life, built like the side of a fiver.

You say i'm making it sound complicated, well if it's so simple then why have we failed to keep any form of consistency this whole season?

All i'm saying is Mcrorie or Jack vs Brown would fill me with a lot more confidence than Goss vs Brown.

Goss has been playing the sitting mid, deep lying play maker, holding mid call it what you like but its the defensive mid position. Apart from hibs game all has been well. And losing 3 goal against hamilton is hardly a worry. I remember better rangers teams losing 3 goals in a game and still winning the game and that done them no harm.

For example 4-3 v hibs at easter road believe it was 96/97ish. Goram was in goals, albertz bagged a few belters past Jim Leighton. Sometimes you get freak high scoring games. It is not an overall reflection on a teams defensive capabilities. Although some people just like greeting.

Goss should be the defensive mid for sure, he's an absolutely cracking football player although I do agree he's more of a deep playmaker
