I'd be thinking how lucky am i, my bank account is bulging and i'm playing for the Mighty Glasgow Rangers. I'm going g to get stuck in every week and make these great fans proud. Thick skin or get lost. We pay good money and so if players can't take abit of criticism your at the wrong club. Part of playing professional football.

facts are we have a player in windass who has 9 goals and 8 assists ( correct me if i'm wrong ), however stats don't hide the fact the guy goes missing for 80 mins every game and does not like to roll his sleeves up and get stuck in.

his goals and assists tally TBFH are well below what i would expect from an average player in his position for us, coupled with the fact that the scottish league is far inferior to what it was 10 years ago.

i remember the days when an average midfielder would score 15+ a season and that's not including your special players in there day like albertz and ferguson who would bag over 20 goals a season. in all honestly that shows how poor not just our midfielders are but also our strikers given we are creaming ourselves at morelos who has a massively impressive 13 goals all season.

unfortunately for me windass is firmly in the get rid of UNLESS he's willing to knuckle down and actually fight on the pitch.

also for note why do people keep saying he's young give him chance to get consistency in his game. he's 24 going on 25 NOT a youngster and another 18 months will probably hit his peak, and given that then the guy has had his chances and blew them. that's all on the park opinions before we even hit his childish behaviour towards our fans and stupidity on social media

Get rid of windass and replace with who? The days of albertz, laudrup, gazza are long gone am afraid. There's surely a long list of players worth complaining about. Niko, Herrera, rossiter. Is windass as good as Ferguson, gio? Of course not but he is one of our better players just now. Like it or not

You seem very upset with the guy. I don't care if he goes missing for 90 minutes as long as he scores and assists. When that stops then we have a problem. Agree about morreles. Don't see the hype myself. Would be happy if we got the rumoured fee for him.

If you watch the games without prejudice, you will see that Josh works very hard. Even late on in a game he will be sprinting to close players down. Yes, he sometimes drifts out for spells, but what player doesn't? Without his valuable goals we would be lower in the table.

Rab he has literally just turned 24.

Still a young man, don’t make things up and say ‘24 going on 25’ as if it makes your point more valid, it doesn’t.

Windass is coming up with the goods, stats prove that. Yes, he does not do it every single game but he’s not alone. Morelos went 9 weeks without a goal, 9 full games, imagine the uproar if Windass didn’t perform for 9 games straight?

He’s the whipping boy and that’s it, it’s always forwards and wingers that get it at Rangers. Rangers are sitting third because the full team including the manager didn’t perform. Not just Josh Windass!

24 is relatively senior for a pro player. Young for a tortoise but moderate for a professional footballer

Windass has been good value for the outlay, one of our better signings since returning to the Premier League. He has a level and we will need better in order to compete consistently but on his day he can be terrific, those days just don’t come often enough for him to be top class however having top quality CDM’s behind him will help as they will clean up all behind him!

Can u make these average midfielders that scored that many goals a season? And the standard of football has suffered because we have not got millions to spend. I agree he goes missing for large spells but he is getting better and better under murty. Personally I would play him in a cam position with a 4-4-2 diamond formation as I said he has everything to be a great no 10

All the doubters look at it the other way - you take Windass out of the team and who do you replace him with? Who will be the lynchpin between midfield and attack - who will be making the assists and banging in the goals? I look forward to all the glorious suggestions!
