I honestly think the Alves 'agreed' Benevento deal is BS by the papers.

Why would he go to an Italian team destined for relegation for less money than he is on now?

I'd imagine he would actually have a better chance of the World Cup staying where he is.

(For the record, I think he has been dung for how much he is costing us in wages, just creating a discussion) .

Well they have put out his stats for the 13 games he has played for us today and they are very impressive so he can not be that bad I personally think he has been decent and a little unlucky with these injuries but he is clearly by far the best defender at the club I hope he stays.

Alves is not going back to Italy. He is sick of eating Pizza.

Where did you see the stats Deanobear?

I doubt doubt them as all, I'd genuinely just like to see them, i'm a sucker for a statistic haha. Is it that stats zone page?

I'm not saying he's a bad player, not at all, I just mean I don't feel he's been worth the 30k a week.

It was on a daily record page today saying about why we should keep him and had his stats on a pie chart and compared to Christoph Berra his stats for tackles won headers won and interseptions are all better than Berra so far this season and yet Berra has been classed as a great summer signing Alves a flop. Think it was Alves wins 70% of defenceive duels and 82% aerial duels and 6.6 interseptions per game that is not bad at all.

It’s a financial gamble to tell him he won’t be first choice but he needs to play.
