First time poster"" after reading today about tavernier" I remembered about 3weeks ago that Alan Hutton was on radar" tbh didn't take much notice but possibly the club have looked at him incase Tav does want away"" like a say take what you want from it" came from a mate who has very close ties with Ibrox and past n present player's ps delighted by window so far.

Here we go now its bring back Hutton😂😂😂

Calvin55, you laugh consistently at experienced players but yet you suggest guys like Billy Kee, Marc McNulty, and some other guy who would not be fit to lace Joe Garner's boots let alone Naismiths. Do you not remember Warburton's failed lower league experiment? Hutton is a far better defender than Tav who's been consistent at Villa under Bruce. I suppose you think there's a league 1 or 2 prospect that would do better?

3.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 16:57:10
Hutton would easily manage Scottish premier league and is a better defender/ player than tav. £1.5m+ and he should be sold. Nobody in our squad will be sold for £4m+ £1.5m+ for fod? Sell him, he's a decent goalie but no goram, klos, mcshagger

4.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 17:31:13
Although I've stated my opinion on Tav's worth I would agree that we won't get offers anywhere near £4m, and doubt that we'll be offered more than £1m for Windass. I also agree on Fod although I'm not sure it's wise changing our whole team midway through a season. Out of interest who would you want to replace Fod?

5.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 17:53:43
Haven't thought about it too much. I think the best goalie in Scotland is the boy at Aberdeen, Joe Lewis. There's a few good solid goalies out of contract at the end of the season. Tim kruhl at Brighton, Wayne Hennessy at crystal palace, maybe even mcshagger, 35 isn't old for a goalie. I'd wait till the end of season to sell Tavernier and fed

6.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 18:09:59
I agree. Athough we're bound to get some rat pack chat on shagger

19 Jan 2018 18:11:04
BigMarv05 you can use the term experienced but I'll use the terms "golden oldies", "past it" etc. We have had this debate before. We would definitely go into administration if you had your way wasting what little money we have on pensioners with no sell on value, Naismith, who has played 2 games all season, failed to complete either and scored a whopping 0 goals and Hutton who is 34 this year! BTW the players I mentioned are in blisttering form and banging in the goals this season and they are in the age bracket that I would consider "experienced" and within our realistic chances of signing but I suppose your happy with signing a striker on loan who has scored one goal all season? Happy with signing a Centre Back on loan who has played 6 bit part games all season? Happy with signing a winger on loan who has played 5 bit part games all season? Honestly mate I'm not sure if your having a laugh or not but you know as much about football as Pedro😂😂😂😂

8.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 18:29:00
Your opinions are based on stats. They might be banging in goals in front of 1000 fans when there's no pressure on them but there at a lower level than Garner and Waghorn and they're only at that level for good reason, if they were in their early twenties they might have time to improve but at their age they've found their level. Meanwhile Hutton and Naismith have already proved they can handle the pressure of playing for us. Granted that was a while ago but up until recently Miller was one of our better performers and Davie Weir was one of our best defenders in recent years so your opinions on 'golden oldies' proves that you know less about football than Fifaguy! Also Naismith played over 30 games for Norwich last year and loan deals would not put us in admin. If we signed your lower league superstars we would slide down the league rapidly guaranteeing admin. You talk more pish than most on here and the ones you agree with are trolls🤔

9.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 18:32:44
Also like most Bears I'm very happy with the January deals so far. If your not, that says it all about you😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

10.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 19:16:06
How else am I going to form my opinions😂😂 stats don't lie! Remind me again how mich did we sell Weir for? How much will we get for Miller? Alves is an "experienced" player, remind me again how things are going with that? That's right we are 3rd in what is a poor league! Are you telling me the players I mentioned ( btw who are scoring goals against teams who are stronger than 98% of teams in the SPFL and would pump 98% of teams in the SPFL) couldn't replicate their current form in this league? No one said loan deals would put us in administration but if we keep wasting money on "experienced" players and get no sell on value then that will certainly not help our current financial state! Which incase you haven't noticed our finances are the reason we are signing players on loan! If you are happy with Russel Martin and a striker who has scored one goal all season then that says it all about you 😂😂😂

11.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 19:38:33
We are never going to agree on this one and should just stop bickering. As I've said if your not happy with the deals that puts you in the minority not me. Thankfully people like Walter and Murty seem to share my opinions. Stats may not lie but they only tell a fraction of the full story. Leadership qualities for e. g. do not show up in stats. Naismith was a loan deal and me choosing him would have resulted in admin so that is what you said actually. Your league 2 pals might be successful at clubs like Ross County etc. but would never be good enough for us and you'll do well to find anyone agreeing with you on those players. I await your final response but think we shouldn't get drawn into this again as it will be boring the pants off everyone else.

Keep Believing!

12.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 19:53:48
One last thing 12 teams in the Scottish Premiership. 98%🤔

13.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 19:59:48
My league 2 pals were examples at your request of players who were experienced and still had a sell on value which were within our realistic chances of signing. Naismith wasn't a loan deal he offered to play for free ( which I don't believe) which there is no way Norwich would allow him to go on loan and pay his full wages so it wasn't a loan so that is not what I said. Maybe you can provide me with some examples of what you think our transfer strategy should be?

14.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 20:26:00
Really don't think we should be continuing this but if you insist. Naismith went to Hearts on loan he was linked to us on loan whereby people stated their differing opinions clearly Rangers weren't actually interested which is fine by me again it was the gutter press who came out with the ridiculous play for free stuff Norwich haven't released him yet so it wouldn't have been a signing at this stage. It's fairly obvious my opinions on transfer strategy as I've endorsed all the loans so far I've mentioned that we should be speculating on young players like Docherty and cross border development players like Cole and Roberts and in order to make sure those players develop and that we win enough games to get us challenging at the top of the league we need a certain amount of experienced players that can handle the pressure of playing for our club. Your league 2 gems might have sell on value but what use would that be if they weren't good enough to win games or develop our youngsters.

15.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 20:26:51
98% as in every SPFL team with the exception of 1 or maybe 2, your being silly now😂😂😂

16.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 21:27:28
Sincerely hope you don't think League 2 teams would pump the Gers? The Sheep, Hivs, and Hearts would have a field day with those teams too. Also you must be the only bear (? ) that I've ever chatted to who was critical of Davie Weir because we didn't make a profit from him. I take it you were critical of Walter when he brought in Weir, Dailly etc?

17.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 21:48:48
Your right I am being silly. Well done Timmy, that's the last time you reel me in though. Sorry lads I'm quite new to this Internet malarkey turns out I'm one of the gullibles. Never realised there were that many trolls. Should really have clicked on after the Ashley poll. I'll try to be less trusting in future.

18.) 19 Jan 2018
19 Jan 2018 23:25:56
Timmy, bear (? ) What you rabbling about😂😂 Just because someone has different views from you they must be a troll? You are completely missing the point, our finances are different nowadays and money should be spent on investments. By investments I mean players who we can sell on for a profit. We have enough experienced players. Alves, Miller, Dorrans, Wallace etc anymore and there will be no room for " speculating on young players like Docherty and cross border development players like Cole and Roberts". The same Cole who plays for Fleetwood Town in the English lower Leagues? Are you saying he could do a job for us and win us games but the names I mentioned couldn't? Utter pish mate! The way your talking you think there is a huge gulf in class between the SPFL and the English lower leagues! But of course you think we did well getting a loan of Russell Martin 😂😂

19.) 20 Jan 2018
20 Jan 2018 00:06:00
The reason I call you Timmy is because no bear in their right mind would argue some of your points and clearly no-one else is interested in this dispute because your trolling. I know what the word investment means as I've suggested that's the route we go down but as I've also said teams full of youngsters and prospects don't challenge at the top of leagues. You mention four experienced players one of whom seems likely to leave in this window Miller who's career is finished at the end of season and has a serious injury leaving 2 most teams have a senior squad of 25 plus a development squad so having half a dozen or so experienced guys leaves plenty of room for speculating on youth, although maths probably isn't your strong suit. Yes the same Cole who is in his early twenties and has time to improve and develop unlike your suggestions and he certainly wouldn't go straight in the team. There may not be a huge gulf between the spfl and lower English leagues but there is a massive gulf between old firm expectations and any other spfl teams and any team in the lower English leagues. Your suggestions simply could not hack it. We can go on forever if your actually enjoying this. Again no one but a troll would tho.

20.) 20 Jan 2018
20 Jan 2018 09:23:29
Plenty of bears have posted on here that they didn't think we should sign Naismith not just me but you were the only one who took exception to me posting my opinion on Naismith and other players whom I believe were too old to sign. For the record Naismith has found his level at Hearts👍 You slated me in earlier posts for suggesting we sign prospects and young players with potential that we could develop and sell on for a profit now your suggesting we go down that road and you also suggest a player we should sign from the English lower leagues! I also never said we should have a team full of youngsters and prospects giving the fact I have already highlighted we have experienced players at the club already who could help guide these prospects. My suggestions are proven players playing at a level you agree is not much different to the SPFL and would have a sell on value! Not sure where your going with this mate but you slated my thoughts on what our transfer strategy should be now your agreeing with me because like I said previously you know as much about football as I do about Maths and therefore you can't offer suggestions of your own. Think its clear who's doing the trolling mate👍

21.) 20 Jan 2018
20 Jan 2018 14:37:56
Now your just making stuff up mate took exception to you for dismissing the need for experience full stop as you said ALL SIGNINGS NEED TO HAVE SELL ON VALUE! I wasn't actually that fussed about Naismith especially after signing Cummings. At no point did I suggest we only sign old boys the ones we have out of the 4 who you mentioned Alves will leave Miller is finished and Wallace will struggle to get back in the team. That leaves 1! I have no issue with people having different opinions and you are the only one I have suggested is a troll mainly because only a Tim would think that guys like Billy Kee would be good enough for us! I think you should speak to someone that works in senior football and maybe they can explain better than I can why every club that's ever won major trophies needed a certain amount of experience in their team! The kind of experience I'm talking about is playing in Europe or having international caps not scoring a few goals against Rotherham or Exeter or whoever! If you still disagree can we just leave it at that? By all means suggest your league 2 wonders on the first banter page and see what other Bears think if they all agree with you perhaps I need to reappraise my opinions. ✌️

22.) 20 Jan 2018
20 Jan 2018 14:53:01
A development squad with Dorrans and a few league 2 washouts wouldn't compete for major trophies! Even Pedro would know that! And if I know so little about about football how come every manager in the history of football that's ever won any major trophies surround his young players with experienced pros who have already competed and won things at the highest level? Do you know something they don't? That's another reason I've taken exception to you is because you've said things like "I thought I was the only rational thinker on here" and despite the majority of Bears being happy with the January deals you seem to be one of the few that's not. If you think you know better than everyone else maybe you should get a job in football your bound to win everything.

23.) 20 Jan 2018
20 Jan 2018 15:15:56
No I didn't dismiss the need for experience. Yes all signings need to have sell on value BECAUSE we have enough "experience" in the team and we NEED money because we will go to the wall again if we continue with our current financial situation! Yes its probably Miller's last season and Alves may or may not leave but that still leaves Wallace and Dorrans ( whether they start is the managers choice) but how many "experienced" pros do we need in the team? That mob are winning major trophies right left and centre and odds on for another 3 this season and qualifying for Europe and they have only 2 " experienced pros" ( by your definition) in their starting 11! I think you are just living in the past with Naismith, take his poster off your bedroom wall and move on😂

24.) 20 Jan 2018
20 Jan 2018 15:41:37
They may only have two players in their 30s that start regularly but all of their players have European campaigns under their belt and a fair number are internationals that's experience! So your the one that seems to know very little about football! Your league 2 wonders will never play in a top league let alone Europe or internationally. Like I said suggest those players on the first banter page. I know you won't though. It was never been about Naismith mate for what it's worth I'm glad he went to Hearts too. If he can prove his fitness this discussion may arise again if not no great loss

25.) 20 Jan 2018
20 Jan 2018 16:09:58
I'm now starting to see our problem finally. When I say experience I meant playing at the top level or winning major trophies. Your definition of experience seems to be purely about age. While sell on value is important it's not the be all and end all at a club like ours. I realise we're not in a good position financially but with a new share issue that can bring fresh investment into the club. Our retail revenue will improve year by year from now on. I'm not a business man but it's clear the board inherited a shambles and have faced many obstacles since. Somewhat controversially I back the board to turn this around. Making money from player sales would be futile if we don't win enough games to challenge at the top of the league and progress in Europe.

✌️And I mean that this time

26.) 20 Jan 2018
20 Jan 2018 16:43:13
Billy Kee has represented Northern Ireland at u19 and u21 level and has also been called up to senior squad previously. As previously stated these players I mentioned were examples of experienced players with a sell on value that we could realistically sign at your request. What top level players with european campaigns and major trophies under their belt do you realistically think we could sign? Experience comes in all different forms ✌

27.) 20 Jan 2018
20 Jan 2018 17:03:08
Realistically not many are within our price range hence the reason why we shouldn't turn our nose up at players like Naismith or Hutton's (who have extensive European, international and top league experience) and would have improved our squad. Martin has international experience a reasonable amount of Premier League experience and the English championship is also a good level so Murphy also just about qualifies on that one. If Kee had been part of O'Neills NI team over the last few years I probably would have agreed with you on that one, but I think it's a bit late for him now.
