Think our next 2 January signings should be Wilson and Bates on new contracts as both have performed well in our last few games since Murty took over.

Bates has been good but he showed in Florida cup some bad touches and put us under pressure at times. Hopefully time will tell with older heads like Alves and Martin he can only learn.

I agree about Bates showing some bad touches in cup but he will only be a squad player for the next couple of years but will improve with time which he has on his side

Think bates should go out on loan play week in week out until end of season he is doing well but is still a little raw and with Martin Alves Wilson and cardoso we have cover think it will do him good.

He is 21 not 18 he should be realistically be breaking through just now or be sent on loan to develop in English championship somewhere or league 1
