Posted on here some time ago about investment. German clubs by law must allow fanbase to own 50% of their team. What if Rangers with discussion looked at going a similar route. Say we had a world wide fanbase of 100,000,I realize it's most likely greater than that.
Each fan to pay £5 per week total £260 a year. That would generate £26,000,000 a year to invest in players, stadium repairs, increase capacity etc. Season ticket prices could be reduced, less burden for supporters attending games. Would be great if even more fans became involved thus generating more money for the club.
Been a supporter/ fan for over 50 years, through good and bad times and would love to see my great club back where it belongs and hopefully see major investors involved also.
I'm sure there will be negative response to my post but it's just my thoughts on how we can move forward and compete with the best once again.

Got some good points blueboy but i think asking every fan to pay £5 a wk is asking much, I know it doesn't sound a lot but it is to some families. Rangers mean so much to so many people but people also have more important things in life like family, bills, mortgages to be giving the Club a fiver a week when there's players/ manager/ staff/ directors on thousands of £££ a week

Why don't you give club 1872 your cash with which they will buy shares and they already own about 7% of the club

Just for the sake of accuracy Club 1872 bought over 4 per cent of Ashley's shares when he sold up. It now owns 10.71 per cent of the shares in the club, the second biggest share after Dave King.

I would definitely take part in a fan funding scheme like Blueboy mentioned. There are many details which require outlining here though. I don't think it would be quite as simple as that £26m a season tax free would be handed over to the board for transfers etc. Big Andy makes the point that Club 1872 hold a major steak in the business side of the club. Nearly 11%. If people invest in Club 1872 it is easier for them to make contributions to the team as they are a listed trading company with their own directors and also have a seat on the board already.
Dave King also plans to dilute shares again this year and will hope that current shareholders will vote for another share issue. Best bet again is becoming a member of Club 1872 then they can buy more shares to increase overall fan shareholding.

Why should the government increase your benefit payments by £20 a month just for it to be squandered on bank rolling rangers. Did SDM not do the same thing with the banks money before 2011.
