Wish everyone on here would stop preaching about Hardie, Burt etc being the answer. They may be in the future but at the moment we need better than what we currently have and they certainly aren't that.

People might be suggesting them because of our lack of finances. Personally I have no idea about there standard as I've seen very little of them.

Maybe they are worth promoting, I have no idea.

Well said Rutherglen.
If there are young players that are currently good enough to blood in then brilliant but the management team clearly doesn't think this is the case so let it slide.

Burt is ready to be introduced into the first team. Only the undroppables and an intransigent manager are blocking his path.

Nobody on hear knows if there good enough because there not getting a chance. There will be no young players getting a chance because the manager would rather play the same old faces. Put it this way hardie are any other youth striker would score as many as garner

Our team has too much youth. We need 2-3 battle hardened pros to gel everyone together. dm especially he tried last year with eustace and this year with barton if he gets his dm right the team will be a lot safer going forward. I wouldn't be surprised if we scraped enough together for diguaraga he might be the answer who knows.

I'd rather have a bout of diarrhoea to be honest. Think we seem to have dodged a bullet when he went to leeds.

If they are not better than Halliday then our current young midfeld players must be bad

Hardie is definitely no better than the strikers we have at present. If he was then he would've been more than a bench player with St Boo and wouldn't currently be at Raith. I'm all for giving youth a shot if they're good enough but clearly the management (who see these players day in day out) don't think they're ready yet. If we were 19 points clear like that mob then I could understand bleeding the youth in but we're not.

Surely Burt can't be any worse than Holt who just seems to run about creating and achieving very little

We were well in front last season and no youth was blooded.

Exactly hooly that's my point. Last season we were in a position to do so and we never, albeit a few cameos from Burt. We've had 4 seasons to blood youth in and have done nothing about it. That was our chance, now we're in no position to do so, we missed our shot.

Rutherglen bear
I agree
Soup or Ally didn't gave the kahoonis tae give the young guys a run when the league was one going for an unbeatable season great player but a disaster as a manager!

We have the 2nd oldest squad in the league, how can that be too much youth

Before commenting on the garner vs hardie debate i would like to have seen the lad have a run in the team to see what he can do

I know most will say Warbs watches him train and doesn't think he's good enough, but does anyone honestly think if hardie played 18games for us he'd only have scored 3?

Also attacking mid as cover for niko is important, but if rossiter's injury is serious, we need a strong def mid asap as we don't dominate the middle of the park enough with holt and halliday. Pleased to see windass making progress - he had cple great passes on 31st which cut their defence open hopefully he can get an injury free run and establish himself
