Arguably one of the most successful managers in recent history is Scottish. Why won't he revolutionise our national team? Get it done Fergie you big sellout.

Monty, have you been on the buckfast for breakfast. Fergie did his stint, stand in but done, and saw what a thankless task it was.

Naw mate. He managed them in the 80s. Long before the crisis in the national team and long before he established himself as one of the worlds best managers. So naw. My comment stands.

You could have ferguson, murinho and pep managing Scotland, and they wouldn't do any better than strachan.
Sad to say, but I agree with Andy Roxburgh, Scotland should have done what France did with the foreigners rule.

Monty, read sir Alex's own comments in many journals, it's a job for those who have no further ambition. Since ally Macleod stood at hampden in may 1978 and stated we would win the world cup, it's been a poison chalice. I was there and believed the hype. Willie Johnston and all.

Scotland needs a young, ambitious coach with a sound tactical ability.

Strachan should of went after failure in last campaign- would Martin O'Neill have stayed as Irish boss had we (done what we should of) beat them to qualification.

Please don't say there is nobody else, there are dozens upon dozens of managers who would put themselves forward.
