Pleased with the new rangers signings this summer but if Rangers want to be real title contenders they need an animal at CB like a bougherra or kygriakos Why can't Dave king release 1 m or so early before the January window surely if Rangers want to be in with a real chance this is a must I think the squad as a whole is very impressive but lacks that finishing touch . Senderos adds experience and as for lescott he's just a big name player but at 34 years old he's past it . Lescott vs Sinclair dembele etc is scary I'm glad he didn't sign he's better off earning mega bucks and driving fast cars we don't need that.

Release the Warchest on what?

A new striker with a proven goal scoring record at a level better than this league. We've got that.

A new holding midfielder with grit, determination and passion for the club at an age where we can develop him into an outstanding player. Got that.

A creative midfielder with a magic touch who can win us a game with just 30 mins on the pitch. Got that.

Cover for the goalkeeper position and someone who can play either full back position. Got that.

These are crucial positions we needed strengthened and the board have been terrific in their backing of the manager. Add in to that Windass, Crooks, Dodoo, Hill and the marquee signing of Joey Barton. They have brought in all of these players for next to nothing in transfer fees.

A centre back is a must but I'd doubt we'd get anyone more reliable than Senderos for the money that'd be in a warchest.

Thorn your not watching the same team I am if you don't see we need investment - particularly in defence.

Tavernier has improved the defensive side of his game with the direct competition from Hodson. Wilson has improved and had a decent game against Motherwell. Right now is our best defender by quite a distance. Wallace is a leader and will improve defensively as the season goes on. Senderos will add experience at a high level at just 31.

Yes we need a new centre back, but where do we get one? Loan deal from the premier league or a player who isn't getting game time at a mid table championship team. Jack Hobbs was mentioned, maybe he'd do a job but it looks like it'll be just Senderos.

Thorn, that post is a prime example of hope, and hype clouding judgement.
If the esteemed mr "Warbs" doesn't sort this team soon, top 6 will be a struggle never mind winning the league.

Right everybody let's look at what you are all saying, 9 possibly 10 new players brought in, no real pre season with the league cup joke teams, ok Burnley good workout the team needs time to gel oh forgot who is top of the premier league not bad for a rubbish team.
