I'm loving everyone's options on which players they would and wouldn't like at Rangers it's fascinating. The one player I would love to see at Rangers who is only 24 and an international is Ryan Portious IMO he is a terrific footballer.

Robbie you entitled to your opinion on RP but surely pushing the boundaries of the meaning terrific with that one. imo i would argue we only have a handful of terrific footballers from Sco at them moment and RP wouldn't come into that category.

We have to stop believing Certain players are Rangers haters because of the clubs they played for ect, the guys a very good player IMO and would walk into our team no problem young and Scottish too. But it's all about opinions on here guys and I respect yours.

I wouldn't put Porteous in the 'Brilliant Football Player' category. At the present time there are few Scottish Players that would fit into that for me, one would be John McGann and one would be McTominay. Unfortunately, neither of these players are likely to be at rangers unless we are taken over by a Billionaire that has money to burn!

what if they deliberately assault rangers players each and every time he played agaist rangers, kinda won't stop thinking he hates rangers thanks, like quite a few easter rd neds down the years.

Storm, going back through history, as far back as I can go, (which would be the 1950's), we have missed out on good quality Scottish players and where we have signed quality Scots from other Clubs we would arguably have had some of them as youngsters.
I can remember being told by a Rangers Scout about the players that had been turned down, guys like Dalgleish, McGrain and although we eventually signed him, Alex MacDonald. The same Scout also mentioned that St Mirren, when Alex Ferguson was manager kept in contact to be given names that we should have signed at the time with guys such as Tony Fitzpatrick and Frank McGarvey being two examples.
Things clearly changed under Souness although we still didn't bring many through from our Youth Team and sadly everything went backwards when McCoist was manager and failed to develop youngsters.
