i'm not surprised in the slightest, i suspected the plan was to back clement or he wouldn't b3 here, , rangers are far from skint, no matter what some like to think, we could easily hav3 soent in january but it a club decision not too because we have a plethora of players atm, i suspect more will be spent depending on losing at least 8-12 players.

With certain players leaving are we not looking to move 100-130k of the wage bill, that doesn't include the rumoured sales of Tav and goldsons which if true add another 67k to that rough figure. I would hope those wages would be spent on younger hungrier players with sell on assets.

Bosman signing on fees will take a lot up, Sima and Diomonde will take up about 12 m but at least this can be recouped, buying youth and keeping wages lower must be the way forward, can’t believe we could possibly win a treble and still need double figures in players coming in and leaving to have a squad for beginning of season.

25m is a minimum of what’s needed this summer. Hopefully aided with a few sales we can see close to 30m spent. It’s what ange needed in his first two windows. 30m on 4/ 5 players of real quality and then 4/ 5 clever Bosmans and loans. We need to stop spending 2/ 3m on players like matondo.

its not proof of anything, except that they didn't want to soend in jan, just like many others, not a good time to buy, especially when you have so many players, summer is the time for incoming, and outgoing, jan is only a pitstop.

John did we spend 21m? i'm pretty sure the net spend was around 4m and we sold better players to fund that than the ones who came in. Our points tally will also be lower than last year to reflect that.
This time round i don't think there is many players we should worry about leaving and should be fairly easy to improve on the current squad.

Hope we can buy Cortes with the money if true, I think he’s a different player to what we have, we need to spend all over the park which I’m sure people have pointed out and it’s true, 4.3 of that must be already spent on Diomande because that came out the summer budget, so then just over £20 million, I wonder if that would go up if we somehow managed to get the CL.
Like I said the whole of the park will need investment in. I think the majority of any money will get spent in the wings and striker area- just because normally forwards cost more than other position. If we are smart with it get some back to middle players on free’s Jefte for example. That Nils guy likes players from South America I can see a few of them coming.
The CL isn’t beyond us if we recruit well before starting the qualifiers if say worst case scenario we finished second. We were really unlucky to get PSV 2 years running and this years PSV were really good. There were other teams we could have got and maybe get this year who won’t be as hard, all about having a good pre season and good recruitment before hand. By the sounds of Sima and his agent it sounds like he wants to stay, if we can find the money or package to bring him I think we will do that, but out of the players that are end of contract and end of loan it’s only Cortes and Sima I want to stay, which is not saying a lot. And there’s players even on contracts that need to go Scott Wright, Lammers, Davies ect although I think PC will look over Hagi before selling him. He’s never seen him so he can’t just punt him without looking but eventually I do think he will sell him. Interesting tho.

Koppen would not come to Rangers if there was no money to spend. His job is to turn that 25 million into a potential let's say 100 million and I have every faith in him to do that.

Last year I think we spent approx £13M during the summer and took in £11M.
Call it what you like but to me that’s a £2M spend/ outlay.
