Nicolo Shira, a respected journalist has just tweeted saying Ridvan will join Verona on a loan to buy (option) deal. CoplandFront mentioned we have asked about Owen Beck again. This probably seems more realistic as opposed to spending money on a LB now.

Utterly pointless bit of biz if true.

2.) 12 Jan 2024

Extremely pointless. We need cash.

The chap seems to have said that the option to buy, will become an obligation if Hellas stay in Serie A. Which I suppose makes a little more sense. Given they're in the relegation places now it seems to certainty at all.

I think this might well be indicative that we're not looking to spend a lot of cash in this window (e. g. the Ridvan fee is being used to reinvest yet) . All in all it seems an odd deal to me, but I have faith in the manager - though I'd be a little concerned if its Barisic and Yfeko that are our options at LB for the rest of the season.

A player decision as opposed to a club one.

It’s what held up the deal l, both clubs agreed a permanent deal but Yilmaz didn’t want to sign for a club for him to be playing in the Serie B next season. That’s why it’s an obligation if they stay up.

good info cf, aye that's understandable, he could dissappear in second teir,

I think it’s a good deal.
Puts him in the shop window in a top 5 league where he will come up against some of the best, he’ll also learn to be a better defender with the coaching in Italy.
If the deal doesn’t happen he will come a far better player.
He also may attract interest from bigger clubs and command a higher fee.

I think it’s a better idea than selling for a straight £3m.

Barisic is injured, Yefeko will be our 2nd choice LB until he s fit again, with Ridvan as 1st choice, a new LB will be brought in during next summer transfer window, no doubt Koppen and Clement are sorting that out now.
Be a fair size rebuild happening in the summer, Clement and Koppen don't seem like they will jump at any option they will only make a move if it the right quality of player that has talent and is right for the system PC prefers.
I don't see us signing Sima either, Brighton are clearly loaning him out to different clubs each season with the idea of developing him and gaining experience in different leagues / Countries, they will either extend his contract and if he hits his potential will be ready to play in the EPL in a 1-2 seasons, unless Brighton are offered silly money he is going nowhere.
The development team at Brighton are very happy with Simas form so far at Rangers as opposed to how his last loan worked out at Angers, he will be recalled and loaned out to another club next season, same as he has the last 3 seasons since Brighton bought him from Sparta Prague for 8 mill, Sparta bought Bought Sima for 115k from another Czech, Simas value went from 115k to 11 mill in 1 season, if he keeps going the way he is this season he will be worth 10-15 mill by seasons end, we are no position to buy him or any player for that amount.
Lets enjoy his talents while we can.

If they have an obligation to buy then the fee will be set already Stevie. I can see why ridvan wants a loan but we are the owner of the player and need cash to invest elsewhere. Also, what does it say about doig if he is being replaced?

9.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 13:08:02
Big dado how do you know we need the cash mate?

10.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 13:15:12
Yilmaz will never disappear, said over a year ago he'll reach the top and that doesn't change.

11.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 13:30:17
Well we are loaning players out to free up wages to bring other loans in that would suggest to me we need cash storm. Could stand corrected but if we spend anything this window ill be surprised.

12.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 13:39:38
Laudrup, sima is no where near good enough to play in the premier league mate. Good goal scorer and works his balls off but you need more than that to succeed in that league. Not saying we will be able to afford him but can see them selling in summer.

13.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 13:41:47
My star what do you consider the top? For me it’s Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Liverpool, City etc. are you saying you think he’ll end up at a European powerhouse one day?

14.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 14:01:59
Not to me todd, reaching the top is playing in a top leagues.

15.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 14:20:26
will be very surprised if he plays for a top team like them.

16.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 14:28:28
It may be the Italian club that don’t want to pay just now and not ridvan fault we don’t know the ins and outs so it’s not pointless if the boy wants to go you don’t want to keep an unhappy player.

17.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 14:34:46
Crazy that so many on here can't see Yilmaz clear qualities,
was he really injured all the time he has been out or was that a club tactic to block the contract add on payments, not like a club hasn't done that before, held a player back so they don't meet the contract bonus payment targets?

Letting a young talented player like that go seems to be our real player trading model looks like, Bassey, Patterson, clubs hell bent on going backwards it seems.

we get quality players in at decent prices or free and as soon as we can get rid of them we do, then squander the money on several different players trying to replace the quality we had, no wonder we are trailing behind our arch rivals.

Selling Yilmaz now is plain stupid, will we get a quality young LB with his potential and talent for 3-4 million? of course we won't we will buy some diddy that we sell for half price in the summer and be left with Yefeko as our only LB, then waste more money buying another dud, way to go Board.

And we wonder why we can't dominate Celtic, fairly obvious eh.

fs, give it a rest bealy, must be in the hundreds of times now,

how many times can one man post the exact same thing about another man

you were wrong, i said yilmaz would be gone by january

you said never, about 200 times.

19.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 14:45:34
WishyBear
Brighton have never given Sima a single minute in the EPL,
So if he would excel or not is yet to be seen.
Not saying he is ready yet, in 1-2 perhaps?
Time will tell mate.

20.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 14:48:57
Wrong Tom? i certainly don't think so, Yilmaz will play in top leagues like i said over a year ago, looking like you're very wrong on his capabilities as a footballer Tom, saying that you seem that in 90 minutes lol man.

21.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 14:51:06
Utter lies Tom, i never once said he wouldn't be gone in January.

22.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 14:52:51
Yilmaz will need a ladder if he is to reach the top.

23.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 14:58:23
At least Beale about is posting hi opinion instead of having a go at other posters like you seem to have an unhealthy habit of doing.
have a word with with yourself pal.
you even recently tried disrespecting me using another poster as a comparison.
Anyone on here can post there opinion, wether you agree with it or not, i may not always agree with your posts, but i don't attack your opinions.

24.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 15:08:25
CoplandFront5,i don't doubt your info for one second pal ? Again thanks for your most welcome info ?
Have you anything more on the possibility of us signing liverpool's young left back owen beck on loan mate ? I would love to get him on loan and think he's a very good young left back ???.

25.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 15:35:55
#seen that in 90 minutes Tom.

26.) 12 Jan 2024

At end of day yilmaz wants out of rangers.

29.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 16:16:02
Mystar I agree with you here again. And you definitely didn’t say he’d be gone.

I agree he will end up in one of the top leagues if he stay clear of the injuries could be a case of Scottish football just too heavy for him at this age people forget he’s still a young player at early stages of his career.

30.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 16:48:27
Tom just because i say you're very very very clueless on Yilmaz as a footballer? deary dear man, i believe you're acting like a kid once again mate it's certainly not me, Tom i would actually love you bypassing my posts, all you do is pull posters up, what gives me a laugh at you is you say that about others man.

31.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 16:54:40
Big dado
I get that part mate, obligation will have a set fee.
I’d actually have left that part out so we have the power of negotiating at the end.
Say he runs amok. Top club want him, Verona sign him for £3m and sell him on for a profit in same window.
We lose.

32.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 16:56:04
That's cool John but he's still a quality footballer.

33.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 17:37:48
TT he can post whatever he likes as many times as he likes but remember you never have a go at anyone on here now do you.

34.) 12 Jan 2024
12 Jan 2024 18:42:39
Fair enough my start. Could see him playing in a top league but not at a top club in my opinion. However I wish him all the best, seems like a good boy just injury prone here (who isn’t that we sign)

35.) 12 Jan 2024
12 jan 2024 22:47:03
wow gofor, not often you get it right, but yiu got it wrong again son

beally, I've come to realise you can't handle an opinion that goes against yours, leave it there

warrior, stroll on son.
