Has any1 hearts of reported interst in Butland from Newcastle and Chelsea. Iv read Pope will be out a while and Chelsea looking for some1 to challenge There keeper Sanches if true I hope the 5m clause in his contract is wrong.

I don't think he will leave half way through season he's spent enough time as a no2 and trophies/ europe to play for. New contract should be a priority he must be in with a shout for the euros.

There will be loads of clubs making enquiries about Butland as that's what happens when you are as good as him. If your a club that needs a keeper and you didn't try to get the likes of him then you are not doing your job very well.

He got offered a contract from Man U before coming here and turned it down because he wanted to be a starter. That’s his boyhood club so I think we might be alright. 5m is way too low though we need to sort that out.

Jack butland will stay at rangers at least until the summer and beyond, if any interested club doesn't guarantee him their no.1 jersey ?As davidb1996 put it, he turned down remaining at his boyhood club man utd because he wasn't guaranteed the no.1 jersey, thus why he came to us ?.

We don't need to get to the latter stages of the Europa to get Champions League football next season. If Liverpool or Benfica win it and have already qualified through were they finish in their leagues then we take their spot based on our coefficient. Think Benfica also need to win their league and finish ahead of Sporting Lisbon. Also. Butland ain't leaving. Would cost at least double figures to replace him.

Injured . it was Sima's poor header that lead to the first goal and absolutely nothing could be done about Kyogo's strike. We have the best defensive record in the league . we need forward players with composure and the ability to take chances. For me we don't score anywhere near as much as we should.

GMS correct about Sima. Woeful clearance. But Goldson was running toward his goal when there was no celtic player making a run and that allowed Kyogo the space to strike it. Watch it again. He was nowhere.

Can`t see Butland going anywhere this window . Chelseas second choice keeper is in the side and playing well so potentially when Sanchez is fit, Jack would be third choice and Newcastle currently have 4 keepers so when Pope gets back in the side where would that leave Jack . He`s had his days of doing this at Crystal Palace and Man Utd and he could have stayed with these clubs if he was happy to do that . He`s not, he wants to play and win things and he`s come to the right club to do both.

If he was offers the no1 spot at Newcastle u tol pipe is fit he’s likely leave and think he could keep pipe out the team.

He seems really settled happy and I
Pressed he looks no ike he loves the adulation of the fans like he’s found a home.

I’d be really interested to hear him asked about his plans for the next 4 years and if an offer came in what he thinks.
I’d like that question put to him .

Personal view is that Butland is more interested in first team football and playing in Europe, winning trophies and being well respected by the fan base. While none of these can be guaranteed at any Football Club it is more likely to happen at Rangers than at the majority of EPL Clubs.
Whether Newcastle is a Club that can provide all of the above is debatable but I would suggest that if Howe does not win a trophy or finish top four this Season his owners will be looking else where for a manager and then the Club might have a different view of players that they sign.
If I was Butland I would stay at Rangers.

Totally agree coops Butland far better keeper than Pickford

Ramsdale would be my no1 for England if playing regular but if not then Pope would be my no1 for as he does play regular.

Pickford doesn’t do it for me.
Always liked big Forster don’t know why he hasn’t settled as a no1 somewhere.

Butland could argue for 3rd choice but maybe 4th.
