I think carvalho could get prem loan but would love to see him with us, not one we would be able to keep after loan which doesn’t suit me, I want realistic loanees we may be able to make perm.

There might be a chance we could get Gilmour, but not Carvalho. Never happening!

Think that was a scheduled tweet that went wrong. There is absolutely no chance whatsoever we get fabio carvalho.

With the amount of outgoings this summer, we will need to be quite flexible in the transfer market and that will include 2 or 3 loan signings I would imagine.

Hopefully with a view to buy but also squad fillers as we prepare to lose the likes of Arfield, Davis etc.

Squad fillers will be talented youth players i think.

Calvalho on loan could replace Kent and would be a big improvement on him.
Gilmour would be a great signing but means playing 3 in the middle with Raskin and another so that would mean changing brakes preferred formation.
Be interesting.

Zikos I thin u will find arfield staying.

If Arfield stays it’s a joke good sub but can’t start a game. Going backwards.

Don't see the fuss about gilmour.

Walter he can keep ball well and can play forward passes too unlike lundstrum at the moment plus he would qualify as domestically trained having been at rangers youth team.

These are the players and squad positions for Europe that are becoming increasingly difficult tonfill with quality so I definitely can see why gilmour considered.

Do I think it will happen no!

He should try Italy or Germany they would appreciate him there.

I think young Gilmour should give la liga a shot on loan for a season and really commit to the culture the language etc and may well find himself a very successful career there. He’s a very Spanish type mf for me and could well find himself at the champions league teams although probably not Madrid n Barcelona the others.

I can see Gilmour coming home to be honest. Carvalho doesn't sound like it's for real, but could be an interesting scenario. Liverpool may want him to get top team experience including in Europe so strange as it may seem, there may be something in this!

Team needs a overhall some have had a place with nobody too push them for too long, re kent example, no one really too push him for his position, why i think somtimes we don't see his best

Tav, never really had anybody too push him, hence why patterson was sold,

Greegsy amazing keeper, but really pushing on a bit now,

Our defence is slow n caught out too much on the counter

Tilman, raskin, n catnwell have been breaths of fresh air too us, we need more of these types to inject us wi fresh ideas, cause its sad too say but, some of the old gaurd are too cosy n really need too push on if we are too compete we with the other mob.

Fully agree, Blue Dreamer and I don't see the support accepting another season of Celtic Dominance in 2023 / 2024.
We have been fortunate to have McGregor, Davis and Arfield since all three were top class, but they are now in the twilight of their careers and need replacing. (we probably also need a back up keeper depending on what happens with McCrorie since imo McLaughlin just isn't a Rangers quality keeper) .
We need to see players of the quality of McGregor and Davis, when they were in their prime, as the minimum acceptable standard of any player that we sign.
I am encouraged by the signing of Cantwell and Raskin and would hope that we sign Tilman on a permanent contract, however with a number of players at the ned of their contracts, (potentially including Kent and Morelos), we will need to be clever in the Transfer Market this Season, both in terms of who comes in and how is transferred out. In that respect I reckon that Gilmour would be an ideal acquisition and if that was just on a Season long loan then so be it and I would love to see us secure Carvalho as well. Only time will tell.

Hopfully Berkshire, we have a really good window as we will need to hit the ground running start of next season mate ?.

Gofor Gilmour is a foreign classed player in terms of Europe.

18.) 04 Apr 2023
04 Apr 2023 19:21:24
Gilmour does not qualify as a domestically trained player.

Not on here so much anymore but been sick of the gilmour talk since he left. Maybe have a debate with stormtrooper in the warry 1 night.

He would ne a decent shout with a lot too prove plus young n hungry, him cantwell n raskin could do a lot together, the 3 of them together couldbe dynamic n what we need, young n fresh, can all hold the ball, but all have eyes for a pass, few more astute additions with young fresh legs, would do us good.

04 Apr 2023 21:50:21
I agree blue dreamer they can also win the ball back, he would be a cracking signing, but can't see him coming back to Scotland.

04 Apr 2023 21:52:46
Not really happened for Carvalho at Liverpool. Talented player but would only take him on a loan with buy option. Would love to think we could buy Gilmour outright.

23.) 05 Apr 2023
04 Apr 2023 22:18:51
Really? Did he leave too young?

24.) 05 Apr 2023

I always wonder why people on here turn on guys like arfield when the guy is a solid hard working pro who has not let us down in the slightest he has contributed more than some. othera in the squad and don't get why people mention guys like him before the likes of matondo wright .

Fair play to wright he gives it his all and works but just not up to it at least arfield pops up with the odd goal.
