I like the idea of taking Brewster on loan with option to buy at a pre agreed price so if he smashes it we’ve won a watch, to be assessed at January window if not working out for all can be tore up. He was some kid coming thru at Liverpool but cost sheff utd £20m but I rate him as a lost player with bags of ability and reckon he could restart his career up here with a massive sell on value if he did.
Big risk though if he didn’t as we’d be left with Colak and Lovelace til January.

Roofe has nearly 3 times the career goals as tony and roofe doesn’t take penalties. To say he couldn’t lace his boots in a pure insult. If roofe was injury free would never be at rangers.

Looking at the SPL scoring charts, we have Tav, Colak and Tillman with a total of 36 goals. They have Kyogo, Jota and Abada on 40 just in the Top ten. Not much of a difference given that Colak hasn't been playing week in week out. Kent has to offer more and we need a 25+ striker.

Roofe is definitely a very talented cf but the problem with him is he has never reached his potential, so we will never know what he could have been, sws just because toney plays for Brentford that makes no difference mate, if he didn't have that thing hanging over him he would be signing for a much bigger club, his club are doing very well just now tho.

As far as Roofe is concerned, had he not been injury prone he would never have been at Rangers because we simply could not have afforded him. As for Toney, that boat has sailed if it ever was an option for us, (which I doubt), and Brentford are already planning for the future on the assumption that he will be given a lengthy ban.
I just hope that our DoF is lining up a few of the quality of these two guys, preferably that are not injury prone or with a disciplinary case hanging over them!
