Does anyone have any idea of what’s going on with the Raskin rumour? There’s lots of talk in Belgium that he’s passed a medical and we now need to agree a fee with his club but to me that seems weird as why would he do a medical if we hadn’t agreed a fee to sign him now? Even if he had signed a pre contract surely medical wouldn’t be til the summer. Or am I wrong in saying that? If he did a medical I wonder where it took place I can’t see him flying into Glasgow without being caught on someone’s phone at least.

I'm a 100% pretty sure they would do a medical before signing pre contract to make sure there is nothing worrying i. e like what's happened with obaforh mate .

Personaly would think he would need to do a medical before any contract is signed. this rumour all started from a newspaper reporter then a few tabloids ran with it. Other sources says it's just been initial enquiries to his agent and that's it. I'm just getting my info online tho so who knows really.

If he has signed a pre contract I wish they’d just announce it same with cantwell I don’t really get the logic of not impacting the group it’s not as if they’re under a rock and don’t have access to the internet. Suppose if things go badly today will provide a much needed distraction but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

I’d rather wait and have him in the summer. We can use that £2.2m to get Morgan Whittaker in now. Plus, who knows what this lad might go for in the future. If he gets a Belgium cap, and an EPL team come knocking, it could be upwards of £10m. We shouldn’t be agreeing to any sell on fee.

With respect John, since we've been back in the SPL, we have only won the league once in nearly 7 years. And in that nearly 7 years, and as you know, the most we have spent on a CM player is around 50k on Kamara. The stats don't lie.

They're definitely not diddies John, but so far, our signing policy of frees, or very minimum fees, for CM's hasn't been good enough for winning the league. With that being true, and with the stats to back it up then, those who have been saying free signings won't win us the league, have been right, so far. 1 out of 7 doesn't make good reading.

If we get him for free in the summer then just wait because we ain't winning the league this year anyway. This signing ain't winning leagues John27 there's a lot more needed then this guy. I've read on here in the past year that James Sands and Charlie McCann are the next Steve Davis so I'll reserve my judgement until he's playing for Rangers.

Somebody is leaving and Kamara is still favourite, if the prospective club get insurance for him in relation to any injury he may be carrying or any medical then he gets signed . still Nice no matter what their owners are currently doing, they are very very far from skint or financially restricted in any way. Then Raskin gets signed, but nobody out then Raskin ain't in .

To be honest I wouldn't give Newcastle anything either and have a horrible feeling about that deal think cantwell at it using us to try entice other offers.

Do not pay for a player you can get for nowt in a few months that's just stupid we've went from overpaying to paying when we shouldn't. ? The money that we are potentially paying for cantwell probably over 1.5 million and I'm guessing at least 1 million raskin or 500k at least

2 million that could get you the likes of pitu or someone like the Slovakian striker or a goalkeeper.
