Lewis MacLeod on his way back to Ibrox this summer.

12 May 2019 18:36:04
A good player if fit
If we do sign him I would loan him out until jan at least to see how his fitness gets on as I don’t see him in our midfield at the moment.

2.) 12 May 2019
12 May 2019 18:57:35
No he’s not.

3.) 12 May 2019
12 May 2019 18:57:38
I liked lewis mcleod when he was playing for rangers at a young age,
but just can't see us signing him now. He wouldn't get near our midfield and that's being frank and honest.

4.) 12 May 2019
12 May 2019 19:58:45
More chance of Kyrgiakos signing again.

5.) 12 May 2019
12 May 2019 20:00:38
Absolutely rubbish. Gerrard was quoted saying he's looking for quality over quantity. Lewis McLeod is not quality. Far to injury prone also.

6.) 12 May 2019
12 May 2019 20:45:49
And while on that point think our midfield are playin with such togetherness i really can't see anywhere docherty fits in.

7.) 13 May 2019
12 May 2019 20:56:59
He would never get in that current midfield but could be good squad rotation player right enough.

8.) 13 May 2019
12 May 2019 21:04:22
I see us signing a couple of decent players on a free and couple of 2-3mil players but God knows who though. Summer looks interesting though, I am interested to see how the team shapes up for next season.

9.) 13 May 2019
12 May 2019 22:41:59
The season is a long one, while the midfield we've got looks strong we'll need a strong squad. Think Docherty can play his part.

10.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 00:23:22
Paul86 think about the past season and how many midfield players we've used and all the different positions they've played in. It's a 60 game season and we need at least six central midfield players, not just three.

11.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 06:52:39
@daisy yore davis kamara arfield jack McCrorie Dorrans there's 6 all better than Docherty. hence why he's away out on loan.

12.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 09:45:23
Rubbish. He wouldn't get a game.

13.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 10:00:08
@paul86 no point in keeping dorrans, injury prone and at the end of his career would rather Docherty in there as squad rotation, think in a couple of years he could be outstanding.

14.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 11:52:08
Just No.

15.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 16:31:59
Please don’t shoot me for this but we should have went for John McGinn cracking player for Villa been outstanding this season for them 2 million aswell what a bargain beyond believe why we never showed any interest.

16.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 17:37:40
Got to agree. If dorrans comes back fit then with the 4 playing yesterday and Mc Corrie that's 6. At the moment Jones, Hastie, Candias, Murphy for wide role or roaming role. Need to get rid of midfielders not bring them in.

17.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 19:23:10
It's a big 'if' Windy. I'd love him to be given every chance (which I'm sure he will be) but I cannot see him ever playing again at the level we are striving for.

18.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 19:37:12
Ed your honest opinion do you think we made a mistake not going for Dylan McGeouch? Was outstanding for hibs last season I think he would of been of been good in my honest opinion.

{Ed001's Note - no idea, have never seen him play sorry.}

19.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 20:10:24
People need to stop the Doran’s rubbish, he has been terrible since the day he arrived with the exception of a game against Partick Thistle in some cup - which he was only terrible for 70mins in that game.

The guy isn’t good enough for the reserves never mind the 1st eleven.

He can’t even master the side ways pass! Can’t remember a single rangers midfielder since 1987 that looses possession as often as he does.

And I’m trying not to mention all the times Scott Brown bupliedbhim home and away!

20.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 20:11:41
Barry who would Dylan McGeouch replace in the current Rangers team, starting 11 or the bench?

21.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 20:59:00
Well we should have signed John McGinn cracking young player that was s chance missed.

22.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 21:58:13
Totally with L17MAC! Where would dylan mcgeouch play in our current midfield? He wouldn't get in the team. I truly think at this moment in time that john mcginn would struggle to get into our midfield!

23.) 13 May 2019
13 May 2019 22:21:29
SC11 ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! John mcginn would not get in our midfield?
Do u know anything ABT football at all? I love that our midfield is playing well but u need to stop severing rubbish mate. We need to keep improving. If we were that great we would have been a lot more consistent and bulldozed the league . But we didn't! We need higher calibre players all round.

24.) 14 May 2019
14 May 2019 05:58:24
Ok partner, who would you currently drop in our midfield for john mcginn, who incidentally i rate?

25.) 14 May 2019
14 May 2019 07:19:55
Tiger

Who are you dropping to play McGinn? On current form none of them. He wouldn’t be a great player for us cause his heart would NEVER be in it. Good player yes but at Rangers a team he grew up hating? I’m no having it or him.

26.) 14 May 2019
14 May 2019 10:20:45
Maurice johnston ringbany bells scott brown wasvrangers fan look now Neil McCann was Celtic aswell so cause John McGinn isvacfan of celtic that means hecwoukd never play for rangers? Get a life and a grip rest my case.

27.) 14 May 2019
14 May 2019 11:11:07
John mcginn would get in our team, its very hard to pick someone to drop but given the choice I'd swap mcginn for jack. Jack has been class over the last 6 weeks but mcginn would be another level. A players preference should not come into it for a pro, as barry said look at brown mccann for example. However I dare say it would for some players, I don't think james mclean would play for us. 👍.

28.) 14 May 2019
14 May 2019 21:26:52
By saying that his heart wouldn't be in it is at best untrue and at worst speculative. was Kevin Thomson not a Celtic fan and Scott brown a rangers fan? They try pretty hard. and I'm sorry to say but I've got 3 young kids mate- if somebody said to me there's a five year contract for 40k a week to play for Celtic I'd bite your hand off. just bein honest and anyone who says they wouldn't o don't believe. It's a business and he would be a pro for whoever he played for . and to answer the first question he could replace either jack, Kanata (my new favourite player) or Davis. They're all playing excellent but mcginn is a better class. He's more dynamic than the three of them. That said the midfield are performing great but imo he would 100% improve us. Rant over 😁.

29.) 14 May 2019
14 May 2019 21:28:00
Coldo 100% right. Out boys are brilliant but there's always better out there. if juve, Ajax, man city etc keep improving their squads then how can anybody on here honestly say we don't need to improve ours.

30.) 14 May 2019
14 May 2019 22:21:22
Anyone waTching the villa game? Mcginn is bossing it. He's box to box. He can sit. His range of passing is fantastic. He is controlling the pace of the game.

31.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 07:11:45
Celtic fan or not back in 2015 John McGinn was up for coming to us on trial. Before he left st Mirren fact it was davie weir who wanted him to come in and he was up for it but we took Jason holt instead wich looking back was a mistake so that rests my case and he trained at Murray park for few weeks after getting speard to build his fitness up so for people sayin McGinn would never play for us need a reality check plus I no his sister Katie she said he would have had no problem comin to us as he's ambitious.

32.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 08:58:23
The 'fantastic' McGinn is playing in the second tier of English football at the moment, i. e. the Championship and could well remain there next season, so he's not that great. I disagree about the rave comments about him. He is definitely NOT better than Arfield, Kamara or Jack, but probably better than Dorrans (so am I! ) .

33.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 09:42:44
Behave doiger😂😂👍.

34.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 09:56:27
Doiger that "2nd tier" u speak of is MILES ahead of the spl! Derby are paying 10/ 15 million for players. Grealish is getting quotes at 30/ 40 million for spurs etc. Out with Celtic and rangers I honestly believe every other team in the spl would be relegation candidates. He went to the 2nd tier as it's his job and the money and opportunities are far better. Fleetwood in the lower Leagues are paying more than most spl clubs. He bosses games. He's young fit and dynamic. Slightly different player to arfield but a better version of every other midfielder we have. I love our boys but it's just a fact that he's better.

35.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 10:09:31
So are you saying there is no players that will be in the championship next year that would improve our team?

36.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 10:51:30
Easytiger. Just because Championship teams are paying upwards of £10 million for players, it doesn't mean that they are top class players. Most of them are overrated in my opinion. It is market forces at work. I watched most of the West Brom v Villa game last night and nobody impressed me that much, especially Grealish. Does anyone really think that Griezman is worth over 100 million, which is what Barcelona are reportedly prepared to pay to sign him from Athletic Madrid?

37.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 10:56:30
Hami was that for doiger?

38.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 10:57:16
I've said before the English championship is a weird one. Yes there's plenty to money getting splashed about but iam not so sure about the quality. For example, waghorn, bang average for us, £7m+ player, scoring consistently. Pukki, that leagues top scorer, couldn't get a game for the unwashed. In saying that I think mcginn is a good player and would definitely improve us. Too late to get him now though.

39.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 11:00:43
Doiger I totally agree with u on that point. the prices are ridiculous. Especially when we don't get good value because the player is going to the prem/ championship from Scotland. However, they still pay more and because of that they do attract a lot of good players. A lot of them r pish but a lot are of a far higher standard. Did u honestly not think mcginn was good last night? Imo his passing was outstanding. He was box to box, tackling everything. Crosses were great. I think he'd stroll into our team and give us another dimension.

40.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 11:04:37
Blueberry that's on us then. were the issue. . if the filth cannot get a tune out of pukki and he goes there and gets 27 ish goals then they're doing something wrong. Likewise with us and waghorn. And especially windass. A lot didn't rate him; that's fair enough. When we get him and he's been scouted by man city and arsenal. He left us with 28 goals and 18 assists but still didn't look right. That's on us to play talent properly.

41.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 13:54:50
There's a lot of very average teams and players in the championship too, although its a tough league. The price of Waghorn alone, should tell you the standard involved.

42.) 15 May 2019
15 May 2019 15:37:59
Over inflated prices and most players are bang average. That applies to the eng prem and the championship. There are players from the championship who would stroll it up here though and mcginn is one of them. Mcginn would be in our starting 11, no doubt about it. 👍.

43.) 16 May 2019

Zikos once again not a clue about football. Dorrans is a top drawer player, he has just barely been fit since he arrived. He played through the pain barrier numerous times under Pedro which he shouldn’t have which has knackered him.

With a full pre-season under his belt he will be terrific, can play the holding role, box to box, behind a striker or off the flank. He scored 13 goals from midfield for West Brom their promotion season.
