Only passing on this info i've been told by a motherwell youth coach i'm friendly with.
Rangers offered jake hastie and his agent,6k a week, a good few weeks ago. Hastie i was told done his rangers medical and was very keen to join, irrespective of him being a boyhood celtic fan. His agent then moved the goalposts regarding the almost complete rangers deal, by then asking rangers to come up with a better weekly wage for hastie, as crystal palace had offered well over 10k a week. His agent also told rangers that there 6k a week offer, was the lowest of all 4 offers they had on the table. Rangers then hunted the agent and the deal was in tatters! Since then the agent and NOT rangers, have tried to ressurect the deal, by wanting to open up negotiations with rangers again. There has been very tentative talks, but nothing like the newspapers are stating! Hastie's parents want him to sign for rangers, but the agent is causing all the problems and has probably finished the deal with us, for the young lad!

Old news, Hastie and agent have stalled for ages - Hastie's not a kid, he's quite capable of deciding and he and his agent decided to buy time and wait for a better deal from down south. We're being used by the pair of them, frankly.

Wouldn’t be the first agent to do this. Unfortunately we live in an age where agents think they are more important than the players they represent.

Jboy21, he has indeed been offered £6k a week, makes the offer made to the Ginger Ramos seem even more derisory.

Sounds plausible, I hope it happens, he’s no world beater but can score at SPL level and we have a chance of developing him to better things, definitely worth the limited risk IMO. Not one I’m fussed about though if we can’t get it over the line.

Supercooper, so your friend, a youth coach, is party to all this information? I was once involved in the youth set up at Ibrox and I can assure you none of us, even the full time staff, had any knowledge of signings, contracts, wages, meetings, negotiations or anything else involving the first team squad. So either your post is fantasy or your pal is a total fantasist.

daisy yore, would not draw comparison between Ibrox and Fir Park, entirely possible that youth coach at a provincial club with a good relationship with a young player could be privy to information on transfer dealings.

Daisy yore, i honestly couldn't care less if you believe it or not. I'm telling you its true and from a very good pal of mine, that i wholeheartedly trust. Was only passing on info for my fellow bears on here. If you choose to not believe me or him, good on you and of course your entitled to believe what you want.

Well supercooper it looks like hastie has agreed to join the famous. Will sign tommorow on a pre contract deal . 4 other English teams were in for him so looks like your mate was spot on. Ps I've been at Motherwell and Hamilton and yes information like this can make it's way round the coaches and players . It's nothing like Rangers as Bankie has said .

Talking to a Hamilton director, hastie deal to go through. 3k a week, rising to 6k based on appearance.
