We have 2 goalscorers now Deano but no no targetman. Also his goal ratio at youth levels are actually quite impressive. He's a young man who would offer far more than Herrera for a fraction of the wage and he would gladly walk here from Wales to play for the Bears. There does seem to be a bit of confusion as to when his contract is up but it's a no brainer for me.

Also I would hazard a guess he might get more opportunities in a Rangers side than he would at the pish poor teams that you mentioned.

We could sign him for a small fee his contracts up in the summer

So it seems, and 34 goals in 36 games for Swansea u23s isn't too bad surely. Also his 3 goals for Newport was in 3 games.

Not really sure what the craic is here, does everyone think Herrera's brilliant? Or are we turning our nose up at a lad who was voted player of the year in the English Premier League 2 last year?

Rather than silently disagreeing could you please state your reasons for not wanting the lad. Deano wasn't too impressed with his goal return on loan at senior level although 3in3 at Newport isn't terrible and he will be getting limited opportunities at these clubs. However it's a fact he has 34 in 36 for Swansea u23s and was player of the year in the EPL 2 which replaced the u21 competition for EPL clubs. Not fussed about the disagrees just would like reasons to go with them!

Iv just never heard of the guy so looked him up and not that impressive and if he was a top talent why any Swansea not busting a guy to keep him. and thought the signing so called young talents from English lower leagues stoped after warbs left

Murty would get the best out of mcburnie scoring that many goals at any level is good he's still young confident and rangers daft. we need a target man and i think he would sell in the future for much more than we would have to pay.

Fair enough Deano except Swansea aren't a lower league club. Swansea have a new manager but I suspect they do want to keep him otherwise I don't think they would be playing him at the moment they are probably in discussions with his agent, but with a bit of luck he's refusing to sign in the hope that we go in for him!

Also EPL 2 should be a very high standard for players of that age and his stats in that league suggest he will score in a dominant team. Not comparing them as players but Hateley didn't score as much as McCoist so a targetman would surely be useful playing up with Cummings or Morelos.

MCBurnie will come good one day and will regret missing this chance to get him if we don't better than herrera . him el buff and cummings with kenny the wise head would be a great strike force.

sorry any player who cans score that many in the epl 23s is got to be worth the gamble . we got excited about cummings he hasn't scored in spl

Everyone obsessing over him just because he's a Rangers fan

Whats wrong with wanting people who want to play for the jersey and would run through walls for the cause. he's played at epl level he's an u21 international and u23 player of the year what's not to want . seriously

27 Jan 2018 13:40:07
Not just that Mike, like I say EPL u23s player of the year last season or do you not rate the young players at the EPL clubs?

I'd like mcburnie. And if we can sell Herrera fine but he really hasn't had a fair crack in the first team. 5-10 min in a game?
