anyone heard anything on this markee signing.

I do hope it's not another Midfeilder as I think we have enough.

for me I think 2 new players needed. GK although Fod is going ok but he's still very wary at times. and a RB.

Who said we were making a marquee signing?

Dorrans is a marquee signing IMO

A right full back and another wide player would be nice but right now we have more depth in our squad than we ever did under McCoist or Warburton.

It's down to the manager to get the best out of this group of players, if he can I'm excited for what we can achieve. After last week's performance though I have my doubts.

Dorrans isn't a marquee signing.

id like us to go out and get walker and moult both proven spl players moult had no problem scoring against us or that lot last season but after tuesday i'm not sure the board will be so keen to give pedro anymore funds i'm also looking for the DOF to get us some loan deals in from down south

Alnwick an excellent back up.

We need a RB LB and RW. Dalcio is still young and can't be trusted as a first choice yet (according to my source haha)

Considering the loss of any european revenue I'd say anything that was planned will be on hold.

we weren't banking on euro revenue, group stages were too risky to rely and account for. Qualifiers don't make you much at all. kitty this year is purely season ticket cash with king topping up the rest and the renewed shirt deal is a much bigger thing than euro cash

@caw2 you don't think Dorrans is a marquee signing, really? A player with his vast premiership experience and at 30 he's still got a few good years in his prime. Of course he's a marquee signing for us.

I'd love to know who you'd put in a bracket of a marquee signing if you don't see Dorrans as one.

Jack Alnwick was keeper of the month in the championship about five times wed has never been keeper of the month . Sell Wes Alnwick deserves a chance or bring back shagger on a free

Weiss is the guy we need any body watches him play for his country will agree, direct skillfull and can score. He is a ranger and he will spill his guts for our club and teach the youg boys too.

Dorrans past it can't get in Scotland or Norwich team no sell on value people want him to sign because he's a Bluenose.

IMO The position that we really need to get sorted is tge Left Wing! With McKay now gone and it looks like O'halloran and Forrester will be off at some point it only really leaves us with Dalcio as the main Player for that position! I know Candieas can play both Wings but seems that the right Wing suits him best. I do not want to see Waghorn playing on the Wing the guy really has lost form big time and I would like to see him moved on, if not Pedro must play him in the middle BUT we have Herrera Miller and Morelos that can do the job. I would rather see Candieas play on the Left with possible Morelos on the Right as I've read that he was utilsed there at times! Even giving Atayaki a shot on the Right would be worth a try!
At end of the day we must bring in someone and it looks like Walker from Hearts is the guy Pedro has his eye on but even I think that 1m is too much and now that we do not have to worry about getting Players in for Europe then we can play the waiting game and put a bid in last day of Window! Hearts need the money and if just cash then imo 500k should be the offer and NO MORE!
Teams try to shaft us concerning Fee's, look at the sheep offering Well 250k for Moult! We were told that they would not accept anything under 500k! The sheep were knocked back but I bet Well will accept a bid of around 300k as Window nears its end.
The best deal for us concerning Walker would be a Cash plus Player deal and that Player being O'halloran. I don't think Hearts be wanting to pay O'hallorans 7k a week wages (could be wrong) but say they pay 60-70% then a deal of 400k plus O'halloran I think would be acceptable.
We really do need to bring in Wingers which sounds crazy with the amount of signings we have just made but like I said we could have 3 OUT and I do hope Forrester goes permanently AND O'halloran but the latter does seem to be a loan job for some reason?
Would love to see Walker arrive who's preffered position is LW and I know its ridiculous although not as much as Nani but seeing Weiss come would be great!
Dalcio may turn out to be a top Player but even still if injured we're fu@ked! So time to get Forrester O'halloran Crooks Kiernan Wags Dodoo and Windass OUT and bring in TWO WINGERS!
The Wings imo super seed our Full Back issue especially the Left as Beerman will step up, Tavs on the other hand has to get his sh#t together but I think Hodson can do a job albeit we would lose an attacking threat but defensively would be stronger.
We have already shelled out 8-9m and if we had got to say the 3rd round of Europa we would have brought in a sum of between 1-1.5m including Gate money. So I don't think exiting Europe from a financial point of view has been a huge hit in any plans regarding Transfers but I could be wrong.
If finances have been used for Transfers and by that I mean buying a Player whose Talent/ Ability is 250-500k when Pedro is wanting a Player who's Ability is Valued at 1-2m if we have the money great if not then we have another 4 spots for loans and if we can do something similar to that mob in the East then we COULD possibly get a Player albeit Young, a Player between the ages of 19-23 from a top Team. As with Roberts these Players are valued at crazy prices BUT do posses talent but cannot break through to 1st team due to the fact they have guys like Suarez Villa Ali Kane Pogba etc in front of them they can't even get onto the bench! I'd rather see us chancing our luck with loans than buying a low priced Player just because finances dictate it! It is possible we could land a Player like Roberts and we should have the means to pay all or most of Players wages AND offer the Club and Player the criteria they want for the Player to develop! We offer so much more than Clubs in the English Championship and I hope that Pedro does approach guys like Mourinho Klopp etc AND try the big Clubs abroad! Apparently Pedro is well respected in his homeland and places he's managed so I would expect he's got a good rep in Spain? So why not try Barcelona Real and Atletico?
Thoughts Bears do you think we WILL bring in loans and SHOULD we bring in loans?

TheCampbell each qualifying round netted the teams a sum between 250-300k outwith gate and TV money so up until the 3rd Round which I think most would have thought we could have got too would have meanta possible income of 1-1.5m max. So exiting at 1st Round I would not think is a massive blow financially or one in which any future plans regarding spending would now have to be changed or put on hold.

50k at 20 quid a ticket for two more rounds is another 2m in gate only. All 4 matches would have been on tv. Add to that hospitality etching and it's probably closer to 2.5m lost for not getting to round 3. Not insignificant.

At 30 Dorrans is nowhere near past it, having a sell on value has no relevance at all, if we went and signed Zlatan tomorrow it'd be the biggest signing in our history and certainly a "marquee" signing but he'd have no sell on value so I suppose you'd be as negative as you are with Dorrans. The fact that he's a bluenose is an bonus, his quality as a player is what makes him a cracking signing.

Why do people keep on going on about Weiss? He is a fancy fan winger with no end product, same as what we have already . you only want him cause he used to sit in the stand with a rangers scarf making out he is a die hard supporter . no room for sentiment, clearly not good enough

Alves will sort that shambles of a defence after watching him lately the guy is top drawer no nonsense
