Rangers midfielder Billy Gilmour is set to sign for Chelsea ahead of his 16th birthday on 11 June, having rejected the offer to stay on at Ibrox.

All the best if he goes, I hope he doesn't regret the decision down the line.

I really hope I'm wrong, however, I feel he won't reach his potential by going to Chelsea. He's just another 1 of the many many talented kids on there books who spend more time on loan than anything else with very little chance of breaking into first XI.

Hate to say it but going by the Glasgow Cup Final, he's nothing extraordinary. Tidy, but not exactly the sensation he's being portrayed as. I'd call it 'Pogba syndrome'.

Shouldn't be the only one leaving Ibrox. Need a clear out. Take whatever cash we can get for any of them.

We get this same string every 3 weeks. The boy and his family are making a major mistake, but if he goes then he does with our best wishes.

You said that he was leaving before his 16th Birthday and then followed up by if he leaves, so Which one is it? you kind of contradicted yourself there, also i'm am sure unless the rules have changed in the last week or so you can't sign a professional contract until your 16th Birthday so Again that isn't possible which makes me think your guessing all though we all know he is Joining Chelsea by now or should I say Chelsea reserves under 20s or MK Dons on loan cause we all know he won't get anywhere near the Chelsea first team and surely himself and father both know this too but Unfortunately as usually its all about the money as both Gilmour and his family have had there minds turned by money houses and cars all put in on the deal just to rote in the reserves, it s a joke and getting annoying now taking are and other Scottish Clubs youngsters when they are nowhere ready for there first team, Why?

Saying he didn't stand out in the cup game when he was playing lads 5years his senior is a bit daft. In the u17s he bossed the game and teed up a great goal. The kids a talent, no doubt about it. And is clearly one of our most valuable assets in getting us 500k (pick a 1st team player worth that much right now! ) and once he is sold on for a few mill we will get a small cash injection. A good bit of business for us in my opinion. Plenty more fish in the sea

Billy should go with nothing but best wishes. It will be tough to stand out in a place like Chelsea but to wish the boy bad luck is harsh as he is just that. a boy remember that guys, just a kid who has probably been advised by loads of people to make this move.

Give the lad a break and wish him well.

Good luck to him I'm glad we're getting 500k as he didn't boss the 17s game he done one or two good things no stand out it was the Celtic kid who's brother plays for the first team that scored and bossed the midfield
