First time poster here just had too get this on as I know it's true

Been told by someone very close too billy gilmouts family that rangers are only offering the kid £500 a week too stay at Rangers this is well below what some English clubs are offering him Chelsea are offering him £2000 a week plus covering all the costs too relocate his full family down too London

This is shocking and really annoying me hence the name

I think the difference is that Chelsea and the likes can afford to take that type of gamble on a prodigy where as 104k a year is a lot of money for us to spend on someone who realistically won't play first team for a couple more years and may not even come good. I do agree that we should try tie him down but I don't see us paying him 2k a week at that age sadly.

Aye let's spend wisely, r u kidding me some rangers fans don't want there young assets on good wages they say we need to spend wisely, am sorry but if I was gilmours dad or mother a would tell Rangers to get to France. Lol. Serious but this is very alarming and to be honest nothing isn't surprising me at this minute.

Good talent goes to waste when money and fame go young players heads remember Jeffers if he's a rangers fan and wants to wear the gers gersey he should stay and earn it 500 a week at 15 probably 6-10 gs by the time he's 20 then move for a fee he won't play for chelsea

From what i'm led to believe the only disagreement was over length of contract rangers were looking to tie him down but his father was looking at two years at a time

Rutherglen bear would taking a 104k risk not be worth it if he turns out too be the player that ihe is expected too become then he can be sold for millions in the future

what's the point of having auchinhowie if we are just going too let other clubs come and take our best young players the money that has been spent on coaching these boys is just a waste of money if we can afford too give kids like gilmour 2k a week we have given the likes of Rossiter about 10k a week look how that's worked out I think spend money keep our own talent nurture them if one goes on too be sold for 6 million like McKay has been roumered too be worth then that pays for a lot of 2k a week gems

we will not get 6 million for Mckay

teams know Ashely has us under the frying pan and we can't knock back money, 3 million or so.

Got to keep him for minimum 2 years without breaking the bank. Although a lot can happen with development within that time if he keeps progressing as he is he should be there or thereabouts the first team by then. He does look a star turn so no reason why we can't profit from him in the future.

Unless he was magnificent he would just be another young player snapped up by these big clubs, not get a sniff of the first team and be loaned around lower leagues. It's a risk worth taking offering him a decent contract in my opinion. And great to see the academy producing such talent. Long may it continue.

£2000 a month is decent for a 16 yr old and if he proves himself he will get a better deal and get his big move later down the line . he's not going to get games at chelsea and probably get loaned out from club to club if all he's interested in at his stage of his career is money then rangers are better off without him.

What is more shocking is taking 6m for winger. Shocking if we sell to RB. We are building NOT selling surely

If he goes to Chelsea he'll never play. Ryan Betrand, Daniel Sturridge, Oriol Romeu. All good young players that never got a chance.

2 grand a month is piss poor for a young player of his ability , you can earn that doing delivery's for a decent take away shop in a month .

its £2000 a week he'll have been offered not a month! also he'll do well doing deliveries at 15 unless he's going to use his bike!

Fab, can you give me the details of said delivery companies? Wouldn't mind a part time job that pays that much.

If he wants to go now then let him go otherwise he will just leave when he's 18 anyway and taken the money out the club.

However, he should look at Chelsea as a development club and remember that kevin de bryne couldn't get a game for them and was shipped out. what's his chances?

they do not produce young players.

He means we have offered him £2k a month Chelsea supposedly offered £2k a week.

We should be offering £1k per week to him no more no less and he should jump at the chance. If he's good enough and makes it he will play for whatever EPL club he wants but you have to work for it.

Going to these clubs early in their career as good as spells disaster for their future as they fade into the background of training and never meet their abilites. Islam Feruz. Enough said.

£500 per week! that's £26000 per year at 15 years old. Not to bad if you ask me. I served a 4 year engineering apprenticeship and then went to uni for 3 years. i'm now 38 years old and I don't earn that much!

once he turns 16 I think we can't afford to keep him and 104 k a year on a 16 year old is too much money epl teams have that as pocket change.

if the boy wants to be a rangers player then he can be but he knows we are struggling financially at the moment and if he leaves us then I don't really care. at 16 you know your not gonny want to move to London u want the paycheck but living away from friends at that age is n earn 500 a week and I have two kids house car wife that likes to spend and I manage at 16 years old he will be rolling in it lmao

Onlyshow my guys do at least 40 a night, average 2 quid a delivery (sometimes more on a good tips night ) 6 nights a week, equals 480 quid a week mate, smith0069 at no point did I offer him a job or suggest he gets a job doing delivery's , it was a comparison for discussions sake, if you can't read a post correctly then why waste time commenting on it .
