Falkirk sign Fraser Aird, anyone know of a fee involved?

Apparently had his contract ripped up

Mutually agreed termination of contract so another young talent who has left for nothing.

I think 'young talent' is a bit strong. 'player' would have sufficed. Wages saved that can go towards someone who might actually play!

Aird is 21 if Warburton does not think he is good enough for the first team then he is right to let him go. This is best for the player and the club. Who knows he could either become like Shinnie or he could just flop.

Just not quite good enough at the moment. Its the fairest thing to do as he was out of contract at end of season so releasing him made it easier to get a club. Really nice statment he gave on leaving, a true Ger

Good luck to the lad.

Warburton doesn't seem to think that any of our young talent is good enough! This from the guy that plays Halliday every week!

I wish Aird all the best. I dare say we could have got a fee for him but it doesn't appear to be the way we do things these days.

Do you think we had anyone in Canada or the states to watch him play? No chance! We have no network to speak of, still 2 years on and our infrastructure is a joke!

Aird wasn't a brilliant player the last time I saw him, he was fast, but I bet he has improved and I bet we have no real first hand experience of his time away.

He is away to Falkirk, would they have given us any sort of fee? These players we are letting go aren't worth anything, so we may as well get rid of them while we can.

Would rather see young players aloud to go to other clubs for free if it means they might have a chance of making a better career for themselves than sitting on the bench.

Warburton is yer typical Englishman, under estimating Scottish players whilst thinking English players are the be all and end all hence him going to English lower divisions to sign players because he thinks they're better, must realise by now that's not the case

To be fair, Scottish football is amateur compared with English football these days. Bigger crowds in English 4th Division than some of our "top clubs" and better wages too. Our supposed 3rd best team Aberdeen don't even have a proper training facility . Players like Aird were never good enough, so we rightly let them go. Just because a player is young, does not mean he will turn out good.

Tom Walsh away too. The website says Aird help rangers win league 1 and 2. It was actually the 3rd and 2nd division.

English players seem to have a far superior fitness and physique. Scottish lads are small in build ( not height ) . The have very little strength compared to English lads.

3Rd and 2nd div is league 1 and 2 Albertz then it's the championship
