Sources within the club (New Head of Youth Development) Creag Roberston has today revealed some interesting news surrounding new striker at the club.

The potential new striker is the experienced former international Maroune Chamakh.

Chamakh 32 years old is a player represented by Willie McKay who has previously worked with former Gers Jean-Alain Boumsong and currently Joey Barton.

My understanding is that Chamakh has been offered training facilities with a view to a one year deal if impresses.

This is one to keep tabs on.

Keep Believing #.

Not exactly a goal machine is he. This can't be "the big one" everyone is talking about.

A very humble intelligent man chamakh according to wiki. Very injury prone which is worrying.

However if can stay fit good addition.

MONDIAL PROMOTION act as chamakhs agents. Willie mckay has nothing to do with them. He is however both Barton and Scott browns agent.

You can't be serious the boy would demand at least 30k a week He is quite happy to be sitting on the bench earning his bread and butter!

If he was anything decent then he would've left Palace 2 year ago to play regular football

No thanks.

I've just stated that he is not represented by Willie mckay squashing this rumour and source. Also the guy has been realeased so if he's getting 30k on the brew fair play. And loic remy sits on the bench for Chelsea but you wouldn't say that about him. Read the posts before snagging someone of.
What's more with chamakhs injury record and the fact he's a free agent he'd be lucky to get a deal anywhere that's close to 20k.

Lazy player and has been rotten in past seasons, not for me.

How can some of you guys be happy with chamakh! He had a couple of average seasons at arsenal and that's it. hope this is a load of nonsence.

He's injury prone so therefore No thanks Rangers can't afford to pay someone that much not to play!

Therefore blurryface think it's fair to say majority of people would prefer not to see this donkey collect that sort of money on around 10 games a season.

marouane chamakh Is a free agent, supposedly released by crystal palace who didn't renew his contract cost arsenal £14 million pound if this rumour is true, wouldn't be bad if he plays well at his game could be a steal.

I think a lot of fans on here forgets where waghorn came from and his goalscoring record too. some fans need to be realistic, he is free which is a bonus give a him a 1 year deal and see how he does.
i think a lot of fans on here think we have the spending power of Man City and Chelsea etc.

Wasn't overwhelmed by this rumour at first, but the more I think about it the more I think he might suit our style of play. Plus he'd be a decent ariel threat in the box.

Waghorn's over rated and not a goal scorer and this is a million times more believable than RVP anyway.

Kazmainia82 why you having a go at me I never even said Wether I'd like chamakh or not. merely said if he can stay fit could be a good addition big if but if mw thinks he's worth a pop then I'd suggest the majority of our fans would back him.

What does waghorn have to do to be considered a goal scorer, my god he's already scored 4 goals and he scored 28 last season despite being injured for 3 months, i don't get it, how many does he have to score this year.
