its not too surprising after all how long are you supposed to wait to get a chance at Ibrox? We have a lot of young players around but very few get a chance. No doubt some will say they disagree or blame Ally, but Warbs is just as bad. How many have had a game since we won the league?

sorry meant also to point out that Mortons goals conceded is only 8 worse than ours to Gasparotto must have been doing SOMETHING right.

Morton want him should tout himself around for a better move and don't jump in right away might get a SPL move ir English league one team giid luck tae him.

MW and the management team clearly didn't see enough from him this season at Morton to offer him a new contract. Good luck to him and hope he finds a new club. As for MW just being as bad, he has said time and time again that youth will get a chance, 16yr old Liam Burt for example, but they have to be their on merit. If they're good enough they'll get a chance, regardless of age. We've got a big cup final to prepare for, despite the loss of form this wasn't the time to flood the team with youngsters.

its only fair to the boy to be told quickly but warburton his spoke to peter houston at falkirk about him.

Wee bill the reason not many of our youngsters have not been givin a chance is fairlysimple mate, winning the league was top priority, no time to really test youngsters in a league that was very competitive for us to win, though no youngster were givinthe chance once we won the league was probably because the ones that could have been tried were out on loan, but i think we will see some of them playing there part next season.

Would love for Luca to sign for Morton and then be a success before moving back up the road to Ibrox after a few years at the West Coast's second best club.

Hardie, McKay and Burt have all featured this season under MW. Along with Ball, Oduwa and Zelalem. That's 6 young players in or around the first team this season. How many youngsters do you expect to break through in a year?

He's also signed Crooks and Windass who are young and expected to be in first team and we're making moves for Knox.

How you can say MW doesn't play youth is beyond me.

Ball, Oduwa and Zelalem don't belong to us and Oduwa didn't cut it. As for the other 3 hardie and Burt got minutes on a couple of occasions so only McKay has been a success. My concern is for the other young talented lads like Murdoch, Walsh, Crawford, the McCrories, Jordan Thompson etc etc etc

How long then must they wait? Now we will be playing harder teams so they will be even further down the pecking order as we "wont want to take chances "?
Yes he IS making moves as you have said, but how many are actually going to get games?

Re, giving youth a chance YES all for it but does anyone care to remember we could not even put out a full subs bench for some matches.
So who would you add to the team sheet!
Dounebear.

Luca Gasporotto trained on a regular basis at Murray Park and MW saw plenty of him even though he is at Morton (weekly basis ) so MW and DW are more than aware o f his capabilities . they just don't fancy him . I was going to post the fact he was leaving last week . from a very good source!

wee bill, who would you drop from the current first team then and which youngster would be in instead? Most of the guys you have mentioned (Walsh, Murdoch, Thompson etc) have been out on loan gaining valuable first team action.

As bigjoh85 said winning the league priority, at the same time warbs has tried to do the best he can playing gers youth. He's done a great job.

Who would put money on Gasparotto a part of a deal for Faulks or Sibbald?

Just a few notes here- Firstly Crawford can't keep in the team he is on loan at . Not Rangers quality and is now 21. Murdoch has been on the bench for most of his games as well. Walsh is the only one other than Luca who has consistently been picked. And if you are not being picked in a team of part-timers, there is something wrong.

my concern is warbs is talking about building a team for
the future which is all very good and well
but he is in for a shock if he thinks SOME fans will
except finishing anything other than at least second in the league
the manky mob will improve next season with new manager
and money to spend and hearts and the don will provide
stern opposition.

wee bill try listening to your manager if they were good enough they would play simple as that stop trying to give your two cents worth on player development when you have no idea what you're talking about, you sign players like knox do you think at 16 he is going to be in the first team? are you forgetting we signed Mehki Leacock-McLeod for the development squad too its all about the future it boggles my mind when you people come on hear and talk about the managers decisions like you have any idea how to produce talent its going to take 2-5 years before we will see any proper goods coming from this doesn't mean we shouldn't start tho because they "wont play first team next season" such a minimalistic view as MW says if it adds quality in the right areas they will move and that's exactly how it should be.

Bowmac, fans have to be realistic about how far we have come and that we have no right to finish 2nd.
